Mexico Rocks Snorkeling & Secret Beach Escape

This tour combines snorkeling at Mexico Rocks Marine Reserve with a relaxing visit to the famous Secret Beach, all by boat—much smoother and faster than driving in a golf cart. The tour begins with meeting us at our tour center or arranging a pickup at your resort. Once on board, enjoy a short boat ride to our first stop: Mexico Rocks Marine Reserve. Mexico Rocks Marine Reserve: This unique patch reef system is divided into Lower Patch Reef, Upper Patch Reef, and Stingray Alley. Your licensed tour guide will provide a briefing on snorkeling equipment, safety, and rules. With an average water depth of 10 ft, snorkel over coral patches teeming with marine life such as snappers, stingrays, parrotfish, angel fish, butterfly fish, and spiny lobsters. Spend about 1 hour at each section. At the Upper Patch Reef, enjoy snorkeling with schools of sergeant majors, snappers, groupers, and a 50% chance to spot a green turtle. Stingray Alley: A short 5-minute boat ride brings you to Stingray Alley, where you can snorkel among Caribbean and southern stingrays and a few nurse sharks in shallow waters (3–4 ft). Here, you can stay as long as you like, enjoying the calm and clear waters. Secret Beach: After snorkeling, we take you on a 30-minute boat ride to Secret Beach, located on the west side of Ambergris Caye, about 8–9 miles from San Pedro. Secret Beach is famous for its crystal-clear waters, sandy bottoms, and calm seas (80% of the time). Spend the rest of the day relaxing, dining at one of the many restaurants or bars, or exploring the area. Sunset viewing is available upon request at no extra cost. Finally, when you’re ready, enjoy a 30–40 minute boat ride back to your resort or hotel, depending on your location. Flexible timing: You choose your start and return times, and you can stay at each activity as long as you like, starting anytime from 8:00 AM to sunset.
