Tour Overview: Your day begins with a pickup from your resort or by meeting us at our tour center. From there, it’s about a 15-minute boat ride to your first snorkeling stop: Holchan Marine Reserve. Holchan Marine Reserve: “Holchan” is a Maya word meaning “small channel.” Here, our guides will provide snorkeling equipment and instructions, along with a briefing on the tour rules and regulations. Snorkel for approximately 1 hour among schools of snapper, horse-eye jack, spotted eagle rays, barracudas, angel fish, butterfly fish, and more. Water depth averages 8 ft, making it feel like swimming inside a giant aquarium. Shark Ray Alley: See the “puppies of the sea”—nurse sharks. These gentle, bottom-feeding sharks are not predators. Observe them from the boat or snorkel alongside them for an unforgettable experience. Coral Garden: This stunning patch reef system stretches about one mile and features diverse coral formations like elkhorn coral, brain coral, and sea fans. Guests can anchor and swim locally or enjoy drift snorkeling, exploring freely while the captain follows safely until you’re ready to return. Secret Beach: After snorkeling, enjoy a 30-minute boat ride to the famous Secret Beach on the west side of Ambergris Caye, approximately 8–9 miles from San Pedro. Here, you can purchase lunch, relax at bars or restaurants, and enjoy the crystal-clear waters over a sandy bottom, averaging 3–8 ft in depth. The calm waters and beautiful scenery make it a perfect spot to unwind. Sunset Option: If requested, end your day with a sunset cruise at no extra cost. After your adventure, it’s a 30–40 minute boat ride back to your resort or hotel. Flexible Schedule: You choose your starting and ending times!
